Why GFC Therapy?

It’s the latest advancement in hair regrowth therapies, providing high concentrate of patient’s own growth factor harvested from the platelets , in comparison to use of concentrated platelets in PRP. A proprietary platelet activator is used to release various growth factors from α-granules of platelets to GFC. What is the procedure?

  • Step 1:Collection of blood
  • Step 2:Activation of platelets and release of GF’s
  • Step 3:Separation of GFC using specialized precision laboratory equipment.
  • Step 4:Collection of GFC under strict aseptic methods to allow maximum recovery of GFC
  • Step 5:Intradermal application of GFC. Normal colour of final output can range from yellow- yellowish brown-orange to reddish. However colour range has no effect on quantity and viability of growth factors.

What are the possible side effects?

  • Since GFC is an acellular therapy , it doesn’t contain any RBC’s or WBC’s . hence the of pain and inflammation because of GFC itself is minimal .
  • Pain: Pain is usually minimal and most patients are given regular pain control medications is sufficient to keep the patient comfortable post procedure.
  • GFC therapy involves injecting autologous GFC into the scalp; there is no risk of getting a communicable disease.
  • However, any treatment that involves injections carries a risk of side-effects such as injection site pain, injury to blood vessels or nerves , infection, scar tissue.
